A little (okay….alot) of “pixie dust” was sprinkled over here recently, which was soon followed by girlish squeals of delight and disbelief. Now you might ask yourself why a grown adult was behaving this way…….but first you’ll need a bit of background…..
- I might have been given a Disney-themed nickname as a child (nope, you’ll have to guess), by one of the most amazing men I have ever known. It stuck (even if only for Grandaddy)!
- I might have been severely disappointed when my parents took us to the Caribbean instead of Orlando for vacation.
- I might have stood in line to have my picture taken with a gazillion characters (in my 30’s, no kiddo).
- I might have visited WDW every year since I’ve been married, except the year I was pregnant.
- I might have taken my daughter to Walt Disney World the very month she learned to walk, despite our vow that we wouldn’t bring kids until they were able to walk all day without complaint. (Yeah, right!)
And while this list is just the tip of the iceberg, yes, I’m a HUGE Disney fan, and we are the epitome of a Disney Family. Oh, back to the girlish squeals….. In the midst of a terribly stressful week, I got an amazing invitation from DISNEY! The DISNEY! I’ll be joining some amazing Mommy bloggers (and a few Daddy bloggers too) for the Social Media Moms Celebration this February in Orlando. Walt Disney World….WOO HOO!
While many are heading to Orlando for some fun without kiddos, Disney has invited families too. Yes, for $350 total, there’s 3 nights stay at Disney’s amazing Polynesian Resort, seven (7) day park hopper theme park passes for the entire family, conference sessions, and many meals along with special events/entertainment. I’ll be having the time of my life at a Disney’s Hollywood Studios party at Toy Story Mania…..and so much more.
I’m looking forward to meeting many new faces (bloggers in person!), getting some amazing information at the conference, and Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe (it’s that good)!
So stay tuned, I’ll bring you along (virtually, that is) and along the way I’ll share some of my Favorite Frugal Disney Tips!
(A big thanks to Walt Disney World, Resourceful Mommy Media, Mom Bloggers Club, Mom Select, and 5 Minutes for Mom for hosting this event)

I’m so jealous! I can’t go because my husband will be on his annual snowboarding trip. Give Mickey a hug from me!
WOW– Congratulations!! I am so happy for you and your family! Have a wonderful time!! I can’t wait to hear all your tips!
Holy Cow!! That is SO COOL!!! I’m excited for you!!!!! I had no idea you were such a big disney fan. That’s one more thing we have in common – I’ve been a fan and disney collector for years!!! My entire home office is filled with disney decor.
I hope you have a wonderful time!!! Definitely keep us updated with everything you get to do and see.

Have a wonderful time ! I’d feel like I was in a dream !
I think we are going to have to swap notes on Disney trips. I went almost yearly growing up. Like you, I was disappointed when we went to Hawaii in stead of Disney World (even though we stopped at Disneyland on the way home). Honeymoon was Disney, then many years went by before we got back in May with our kids. Can not wait to meet up with you there
Congratulations! That’s so exciting. Sounds like you will have a blast.

You’ll have to tell us all about it!
I’m looking forward to meeting you! Thank you for your condolences over my husband’s Grandfather, we appreciate it.
Fun! Of course that is clear over on the other side. Disneyland is better…I mean closer
That is totally AWESOME!!! I hope to someday have a blog that can get me in to Disneyland/Disney World. You were just invited? You didn’t have to sign up? Congratulations!!!!
Congratulations. You are so truly lucky! At times I wish I were a blogger to get to do all the cool meetings and conferences, but I know blogging takes a lot of hard work and determination. I just haven’t found my niche yet. But I am so happy for you. Have fun, I know you will.
How great for you!
