I remember buying my first “bridal magazine”. I loved staring at the gorgeous wedding gowns, looking at all the registry options, and viewing the best honeymoon spots around the globe. I was about twelve years old! Am I the only one?

While it’s always fun to look at all the different companies advertising their gowns, rings, and more in bridal magazines, Real Simple has created a yearly Weddings issue that is much more practical and really beautiful…….with NO Advertisements (except those on the front/back inside covers). Less time is focused on products and more time is devoted to helping the bride-to-be plan events.

I loved how user-friendly the latest Real Simple Weddings issue is. Many pages in this 136 page issue are devoted to the Top 10 Most Common Questions regarding such subjects as Flowers, Ceremony, Attire, Invitations, Photography and more. Color palettes are spread out before you and suggestions are made if you love a certain color. Flowers are described by season, color, and “good to know” facts. It’s the most helpful guide that I’ve ever seen…….and yet the issue also manages to capture the magic and the romance by featuring actual brides and their weddings. The photography is stunning.
