Sprout Let’s Grow – new DVD series (Giveaway)

It’s no secret that we love Sprout in our house. From The Berenstain Bears to Caillou, we sing all the theme songs and know all the Sprout hosts too. One of our favorite daily friends is Chica, the cutest little chicken you’ve ever seen, who also happens to co-host alongside Kelly, Sean, and Dennisha on the Sunny Side Up Show.

Well, Chica has been extremely busy as they’ve just released the first of many DVD’s featuring some of our favorite Sprout Characters in the new “Let’s Grow” DVD Line from Sprout and HiT Entertainment. Each DVD in the Let’s Grow series will focus on areas that preschoolers deal with….helping out, manners, safety, friendship, cooperation and more. Chica along with her Sunny Side Up Show co-hosts will introduce the stories and encourage children to practice what they’ve learned……with some easy to make crafts for extra fun.

Parent Resource Guide – this printed guide will accompany each DVD and will aid parents with tips and more.

The first DVD is now available:
Let’s Grow: Lend a Helping Hand

You’ll meet Kelly and Chica, who will help children understand that any job or chore can be fun when friends work together. With a running time of 68 minutes, Episodes include:

Thomas & Friends “Dirty Work”
Barney “Litterbot”
Bob the Builder “Clean as a Whistle Bristle”
Fireman Sam “Mother’s Helper”
Angelina Ballerina “The Ballerina Ragdoll”

I have to admit that we were a bit excited to have Angelina Ballerina as part of this series…..we are “into ballet” right now. I love the fact that even though my daughter is watching and having fun with her favorite character buddies, she is learning a valuable lesson about helping out….not just at home, but out in the community too. A lesson I hope she’ll carry with her way after she’s left our home.

Everything I win is given to my children (movies, toys) and the adult stuff (books, jewelry, cd, movies) are given as gifts to brighten a friends day. Who doesn’t love free stuff. When I know a friend is having a bad day or week, I bring them in a surprise gift and that gets them smiling or talking again. I do keep a few things for myself, but everything else just goes into sharing with others.
