With Spring officially here, I am loving the arrival of COLOR!  The small bits of green on the trees which hold such promise, the beautiful blue sky which I can enjoy longer each and every day, and the flowers.  Colors are Fun!

Colors Are Fun, a new DVD featuring some of our favorite preschool friends, was just released last month. Featuring Fireman Sam, Thomas & Friends, Kipper, Barney, and Bob the Builder, this fun DVD for kids ages 2-5 and up, takes children on a colorful adventure.  This isn’t just a tool to help kids learn their colors, it’s a fun way for them to learn a bit about other things too…..like adding color to brighten up dark places, what cave paintings are, and that RED is for DANGER.

I have to admit one of the things I loved most about this DVD was the inclusion of Fireman Sam.  While my little one is only 2, it’s never too early to install safety lessons.  In the episode, “Seeing Red”, we learned that the color red signals danger and to use it if you have no other means of communication.  DVD’s aren’t just for entertainment, they teach!
