When I’m shopping, whether in stores or online, I have a few things I gravitate towards. One of “my things” is stationery. It probably goes back to when I was little and my mom always snuck little notes into my lunchbox and letters of encouragement in my suitcase when I went off to camp.

I’ve had a drawer full of stationery every since I can remember…..notecards, notepads, thank you cards, you name it. I’m a big believer in writing thank you cards and hope to pass that on to my daughter. I’ve even gotten in trouble a time or two by “beating” someone to writing a thank you. Sorry!  As I’ve had to replenish my stock of stationery, I’ve discovered that you can actually design and create your own….. and one of my favorite sites to do just that, PosePrints.

PosePrints was created in 2007 by the mother-daughter team of Denise Foster and Jen Harland. They were “determined to make it easy for you to find the right “pose” for all of your life’s events”……from baby announcements to party invitations and so much more.

PosePrints is an instant—order online stationery shop where customers create caricature poses of themselves to adorn note cards, invitations, announcements and other stationery. It looks like you…..not a stick figure!  A few months ago I had the opportunity to create my own.  Not only was it fun to do, it really was easy.  I decided to create Personalized Recipe Cards.  Here’s my design:

* Start by visiting PosePrints.com
* Click the “Design” tab
* Select your preferred background
* Create your very own character design by scrolling through the hundreds of available options to create your preferred unique “pose” that looks like you!
* Add your own personalized message to complete the design

If you’d prefer to leave the designing to PosePrints, you can order their pre-designed Fill-in invitations or Packaged cards and Notepads.

There are so many options to choose from….from hairstyles and eyebrows to outfits and jewelry.  You’ll find accessories like wooden spoons (which I used), paintbrushes, or even a birthday cake.
