It hasn’t yet hit the stores yet, but I’ve got it!

Yes, I’ve got a copy of Sex and the City 2: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack….and if I don’t watch out, my sister’s gonna grab it. Arriving in stores May 25th is the much anticipated soundtrack to the movie Sex and the City 2 (releasing in theaters this Friday, May 27th).

While I have to admit I’ve not watched the series or the original movie (I know people are gasping here)…..I just knew the music would be GREAT!  It was.  Check it out:

The beginning of the soundtrack has a definite “foreign” feel to it, and I soon discovered that part of the movie is filmed overseas…..so it all makes sense now.  Once I got to Ricki-Lee’s song I was bouncing in my chair (as I was blogging of course).  Big names like Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis make this soundtrack amazing, but what’s funny is seeing some of my “old school” songs like Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” or Blondie’s “Rapture”….boy that takes me back a few years.  My favorite was Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind …Broken Down”….loved it and the Men’s Choir.  Okay, I loved almost the entire CD.  But, Liza Minnelli singing “Single Ladies”….I don’t know…..maybe it’s related to the movie, but I just didn’t get that one.  LOL.

Howdy! Tonight I’ll be going to see the movie with some friends. At the event we can donate an item to the “dress for success program” which I plan to do (help other be frugal). I would love to have a cd handed down to me. I would love to play the cd all summer long while I’m away from my school kids. Summer here I come hopefully with Sex in the City cd!!
