Do you love to play games? While I’m always up for a competitive game or two, I’m especially in the mood to play games around the holidays. Sitting down in front of the Christmas tree while enjoying hot cocoa is a good way to end the night….but I’d like to add a good win against my husband to that nice evening. We are competitive by nature…..and we found a new twist on an old game that is keeping us on our toes!
I’m talking about Marbles Tic Tac Two from Marbles: The Brain Store.
Here’s the scoop:
The object of this two-player game is to get three in a row, like classic TicTacToe. But, the unique design of TicTacTwo turns traditional game play on its ear by allowing the grid to move along the board. Play this game over and over again and never see the same strategy twice.
In case you are a visual person like me…….let me show you an example:
Here’s an example where the “Pink” Player has an advantage trying to win diagonally……
BUT….the “Green” player chose to move the black grid one step any direction for his turn. He didn’t need to play a “Green” game piece. See how the entire game was just changed in an instant. Crazy……but so much fun because the strategy is constantly changing. Great for adults and kids.
Of course, you can certainly play the traditional way if you have younger kids, that’s why this particular game is so versatile. Not to mention you don’t need pen and paper in order to play.
TRAVEL: It’s also the perfect travel companion. Because it sits low in a clear case, the one it comes in, this game is a great choice to take on an airplane to pass the time.
