While my 4 year old will always love her larger Mega Bloks sets, I thought it was time to upgrade…..that is, move to smaller pieces! We did exactly that this month when we introduced her to Mega Bloks Blok Squad Police Force Pursuit.

Never one to limit my daughter to gender-typical toys, I thought this set was a great start to introducing her to building sets that require a bit more patience and thought.

With 391 pieces, it’s geared towards children ages 5 and up, but I knew my 4 year old was up for the challenge.  There are 3 different Police Patrol Vehicles to build, and thankfully they come with a step by step guide.  Much appreciated by this Mama! :-)

Vehicles to Create:

  • Police Cruiser SUV
  • Police Force Carrier
  • Police Boat

Three Blok Squad Police Officers with hats and uniforms add to the fun and reality of the set. The details on the finished vehicles are pretty cool….license plates, lights, etc.

We had fun building……and yes, I built the Police Cruiser SUV. Who says it’s just for kids? My daughter helped me follow the instructions from the booklet by finding all the pieces I needed. Some of the pieces are so small. I will need to purchase a tub of some sort to store everything, otherwise I foresee lost pieces everywhere.

BUY IT: $19.99 on Amazon or on Mega Bloks website

We constructed one of these – the fire house model – and I think I had just as much fun if not more than Kacie. It does take time but it’s very satisfying when you’re done.
