While I never enjoy my allergies this time of year, we are excited about what Spring brings….especially playing outdoors.
March 20th is almost here…….tomorrow is the First Day of Spring! Finally!
We had some fun in anticipation of Spring, and created this fun lunch plate……super easy!
Spring Lunch Plate
Flower:
- Chicken Salad
- Cucumbers, sliced
- Carrots, sliced
Butterfly:
- Honey Graham Sticks (we use Back to Nature Honey Graham Sticks – All Natural
)
- Blackberries
- Green Onions
Fun Food Plates are great way to introduce kids to new foods, especially fruits and vegetables. If it looks fun, they are more likely to try it. You could add a row of dressing on the bottom of this one for dipping too.
Enjoy!

Hi there! First time visiting your blog. I must say, I am SO thankful I ran in to the ‘preschooler projects’ portion of your blog. I have a very active 3 year old who gets bored easily. I am 30 weeks pregnant and just can’t keep up with him lately. The Easter egg letters and probably ice cube painting are on tomorrow’s to-do list!
Thanks for stopping by and have fun with the activities!!
What a great way to celebrate spring and make eating healthy fun! Thank you!
This looks like a fun way to get my granddaughter to try new foods. I think I will give it a try. Thanks for sharing.
this looks fun to make and my kids would love it. A chance for them to play with their food LOL LOL
Thanks for the idea — this and variations on this are going to be fun!

What a fun “plate” to make…going to do this with my little 3 year old grandson next time he comes over! Love sharing healthy foods that are fun!
Wow. very creative. This is great. I have to pin this. Great way to get kids to eat heathly foods from a young age.
I absolutely LOVE this! My daughter loves veggies and fruits, and this would make them even tastier to her:) The butterfly is my favorite. I have seen a few creative platings for kids, but this one is the best, for sure. And it would be easy to substitute the foods for different ones.. instead of the blackberries it could be olives, instead of the cucumbers it could be kiwi, and so on:) Thanks for sharing!
